How much does bookkeeping cost?
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $199. Your exact price depends on your monthly expense volume and the complexity of your books. We will review your situation and give you a fixed monthly rate before any work begins.
My books are a mess. Can you clean them up?
Yes. Catch-up bookkeeping is one of our core services. Whether you are a few months behind or a few years behind, we will assess the scope, give you a project quote, and bring everything current and accurate.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contracts. Our services run month-to-month. If things are no longer a fit, you can cancel anytime.
How do I send you documents?
We use a secure portal for document uploads. It takes a few minutes to set up and we walk you through it during onboarding. You can also email documents directly if that is easier for you.
Do we need to meet in person?
Not required. Most of our clients work with us remotely by phone, email, or video call. If you prefer to meet face to face, our office is in the Bronx on Hennessy Place.
What software do you work with?
We use QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping and ADP for payroll. If you do not have either one set up yet, we can help you get started. If you are on something different, let us know and we will figure out the best path forward.
What do I need to do each month?
Upload your bank and credit card statements and any receipts through our portal. That is about it. We handle the categorization, reconciliation, and reporting from there.
Do you handle payroll?
Yes. We offer both one-time payroll setup with training and ongoing full-service payroll processing. Full-service includes tax deposits, quarterly filings, and year-end W-2s. We also handle 1099 preparation for your contractors and vendors.
Do you file taxes?
We do not file tax returns, but we prepare your books so your CPA or tax preparer has clean, organized financials to work from. If you need a referral to a tax professional, we can point you in the right direction.
How quickly do you respond?
We respond to all messages within one business day. If something is urgent, call us directly and we will prioritize it.
How soon can you start?
Usually within a few days of our first conversation. If your books need cleanup, we start there. If everything is current, we move right into monthly service.
Can I hire you for just one service?
Yes. You can use us for monthly bookkeeping only, payroll only, catch-up work, invoicing, bill payment, or any combination. It is completely up to you.
